Care, empathy and dedication….

A safe space for children, adolescents and adults to explore challenging feelings,
life situations and relationships.

My approach

My approach prioritises the unique needs and perspectives of each individual client. By creating a safe space for clients to express themselves and feel heard, with an aim to help them to build a stronger sense of connection and resilience. I can be fluid and flexible, allowing me to adapt to the needs of each client and create a personalised approach that is tailored to their specific goals and challenges.

Providing you with a confidential space to think and explore…

You might not know exactly how you feel, or you might have mixed emotions and just need a neutral, non-judgemental space in which to be you . I offer therapy to children, adolescents and adults. There are many reasons why someone might try Art Therapy or Counselling. For example, it could be grief or loss, feeling lonely, a separation, trauma, low mood or depression, communication issues, neurodiverse conditions, anxiety, low self-esteem, friendship issues or issues around growing up or change.

Services

Counselling

Working with a psychodynamic approach, based on thinking about unconscious patterns of behaviour and emotions from past and present. I also use a person-centred approach intertwined with a humanistic focus. This means working with what the client brings to the session at the time and holding in mind who they are as an individual. I am committed to providing a safe, holistic, consistent, and dynamic support network for children and young people. As a therapist working with children and young people, it is important to establish a collaborative relationship with parents or caregivers, and to work together to identify goals and strategies for supporting the child's growth and development.

  • "My son had sessions with Hannah when he was as experiencing anxiety and low self-esteem. He often told me that he loved seeing Hannah and that she was a person he could trust. Hannah was brilliant at keeping channels open too with me to make sure I had an understanding of how he was doing. Our family are so grateful for her support at a time when things seemed so difficult."

    Lucy, Surrey.

  • "Hannah worked with our school's children and families with care, empathy and dedication; she addressed a whole range of social and emotional difficulties with the children, using appropriate methods for all ages and personalities. The children loved working with her and trusted her during her time with us"

Ellie Buckey, Deputy Head Pastoral, Head of Boarding and Designated Safeguarding Lead, Edgeborough School, Surrey.

  • "From the moment I contacted Hannah I felt reassured and supported. She took the time to get a really good understanding of my son’s struggles and to offer advice. We kept in contact for many months before we felt he was ready to give some sessions a try. Unfortunately, despite Hannah’s best efforts (she couldn’t have been anymore flexible in trying to adapt to his needs), my son just wasn’t feeling ready to engage in therapy. But, if and when he is, Hannah will absolutely be the person I trust to work with him. And, whilst the sessions were for my son, I felt wonderfully supported too - through an incredibly challenging time - and I will always be grateful to Hannah for that."

    Claire, Hampshire.

  • "Hannah Turner recently provided 10 months of art therapy for my son who, after a very tricky period, regained both confidence but importantly re hit is stride at school. Huge amounts of care, a safe environment to talk and to unpick concerns and complex issues as well as importantly somewhere that my son both looked forward to going and enjoying the weekly sessions. The unpicking of both parental and school concerns has been extraordinary and the turnround in my sons outlook in all areas of life something I will be forever grateful for. I thoroughly recommend Hannah Turner for all Art Therapy and child based therapy needs. A gentle, therapeutic and importantly an incredibly kind environment to understand your child's needs. "

    Rupert, Petersfield.

  • "Our eldest son had a block of counselling sessions with Hannah at the Oak Park Clinic. She supported our son with anxiety and some negative thoughts he was having over eating and school. We found Hannah to be extremely professional, calm, kind and patient. Hannah regularly checked that our son was finding the sessions helpful and even adjusted her approach to suit him. She consistently communicated with us, so that we knew how he was getting on at each stage. When our son completed his sessions, she even provided us with advice and guidance for future support. We are incredibly grateful for the difference she has made and can't recommend Hannah highly enough. "

    Josie, Surrey.

  • "I highly recommend Hannah as an art therapist, she worked with my 7 year old son over a year and her work with him has meant he is recovering from autistic burnout and learning to tolerate and communicate emotions in a way that wasn’t possible for him until his work with Hannah. Hannah has been a tremendous support to our family, as parents supporting our son too. Her overall care, curiosity and the quality of the relationship she had nurtured with us all has had an immeasurable impact."

    Kathryn, Hampshire.
